How to choose a location

Tidy Up allows you to choose any location in your computer or in any mounted disk.

Note that if you are searching using Simple Mode, the locations are automatically chosen. You can manually change them by clicking on the Edit button.

To choose a location, click on the check button beside the location name.

Once the locations are chosen, you can save the location list from the Sources pulldown menu (or from the Search menu). This is useful especially when you have chosen multiple locations because, once saved, you can retrieve them simply choosing the name of the saved set from the Sources menu.

In the image above the Macintosh HD volume is the target location. Using this configuration, the search will be performed in the Macintosh HD volume.

Note that if the chosen location contains a system folder, Tidy Up will automatically exclude from the search the system folder and its associated items. Refer to Restore Excluded Items If you want search within them.
